Our manufacturing client located in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Supply Chain Manager.

Job Description:
The Supply Chain Manager will lead all logistics, planning and distribution/ warehouse functions for the company.  The position will lead the development and execution of strategies that achieve our continuous improvement objectives.
The Manager must demonstrate industry-leading knowledge and expertise in global supply chain management concepts, processes and systems.  The Manager is also responsible for the further development and maintenance of our Sales & Operations Planning process.  The manager will lead productivity improvement activities in distribution and warehouse including implementation of WMS. The position requires excellent focus, high energy and enthusiasm, forward thinking, strong analytical capability, excellent problem solving, the ability to manage change, solid execution and a commitment to help the company meet financial objectives and exceed customer expectations.
The position reports to the Vice-President Operations.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Develop organizational strategy, practices, processes and key performance indicators that will provide the company with a world class supply chain organization
Manage warehouse and distribution operations in TN, NV and Canada
Management of planning team supporting a global supply chain and multiple manufacturing locations worldwide.
Manage logistics programs to ensure lowest costs are achieved
Manage development, implementation and optimization of WMS
Manage raw material, WIP and finished goods inventory to ensure that optimum levels are maintained
Meet and exceed company customer service standards including “Fill Rate” and On Time”
Support procurement/ purchasing functions as needed
Work closely with sales, product management, engineering on new product launches
Work closely with the global supply chain group to integrate and align with global objectives
Further develop, manage and execute the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the company including demand management with sales and marketing, production planning and scheduling with manufacturing and distribution and supply management with purchasing.

Required Experience and Education:
10+ years successful procurement experience in a manufacturing organization
Proven track record of driving cost reduction through continuous improvement projects
Experience in developing supply chain organizations
Practical knowledge of leading edge supply chain strategies
Minimum 4 year undergraduate degree.  MBA preferred, but not required
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Experience in lean initiatives
