Our Spring TX client is in need of a Financial Analyst for a Direct Hire opportunity.
General Purpose of Job:
The Financial Analyst will accomplish financial reporting and forecasting for the financial department. This position will report to the Finance Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial reports for use by management team and external parties.
Participate in the development of annual and intermediary budgets and long term strategic plans.
Develop analytical tools that allow management to assess company’s performance, financial position, and cash flows.
Assist other departments in controlling capital investments/divestments and operating costs.
Assist in development and implementation of company’s financial policies and procedures.
Prepare accounting / finance related ad-hoc reports, as required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
Education and Exerience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
2 – 5 years of varied Accounting or Finance experience including exposure to budgeting, financial statement analysis, and/or executive reporting is required.
Public accounting exposure or CPA preferred.
Construction experience is a plus.
Computer Operations:
Mastery knowledge of MS Excel.
Mastery knowledge of MS Access.
Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.
Experience with SAP is a plus.
Proficient personal computer skills including good electronic mail, 10-key, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
