Our Nashville, TN client is looking for an HR Manager to join their team.

Job Description:
This person will report directly to the Director of HR and is responsible for maintaining the HR function at the Nashville facility. This person will provide support in the areas of staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety, workers compensation, training and development and legal compliance. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction.

Job Responsibilities:
Works closely with hiring managers in driving all phases of the recruiting process to fill jobs in a timely and effective manner
Establishes a partnership with management and employees. Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on employee relations issues
Administers performance reviews and advises managers, as needed, on review completeness and salary issues
Designs, develops, plans and coordinates new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
Coordinates personnel transactions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, performance reviews and terminations
Assists in the development of HR policies and procedures
Provides guidance to the management on all compensation issues
Provides general HR support and answers questions pertaining to all benefit issues
Conducts exit interviews
Disseminates all safety-related regulations
Manages with Corporate all workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation issues
Manages tuition assistance program activities
Manages general training needs and training budget
Manages employee service awards program
May also be required to direct and manage a small staff of exempt and nonexempt HR employees

Job Requirements:
Must have four year college degree in HR or related field
Must have at minimum 12 years of HR experience
Experience in a manufacturing and call center environment will be beneficial
Must be proactive, high energy, have a high sense of urgency in providing strong level of HR service and have the highest levels of integrity and discretion
Must have successful track record as a Generalist with a thorough knowledge of organization design and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, staffing, and training and development
Must have excellent oral and written communication
Must have proven ability to lead others that may or may not be a direct report
Must have excellent decision making/analysis skills and the ability to multi-task
Strong coaching and consulting skills are a MUST
Excellent presentation skills are essential
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft office, along with knowledge and prior use of HRIS systems
May be asked on occasion to travel, both foreign and domestic (10% of position)
