Our Galleria area Houston, TX client is seeking a contract Information Solutions and Service Leader position.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining company’s computing environment and network infrastructure in a 24/7 operational environment.
Facilitate workshops, build consensus, recommend solutions and manage business change.
Develop and gain support for the IT strategies plan.
Facilitates key stakeholders to take a strategic approach in resolving business problems.
Recommends solutions and uses expertise to influence agreement when it comes to conflicting priorities.
Is able to map complex business processes into process models and recommend process improvements.
Develop relationships and trusted adviser status with senior business managers.
Understands and suggests improvements to IT standards, architecture elements and strategies across domains and leads others in using them to deliver quality solutions.
Is able to develop a solution from complex business requirements and can identify and suggest improvements.
Understands and uses benefits that have been identified through good marketplace and industry knowledge.
Acteively Implement service delivery and support processes (e.g. defining service requirements determining performance requirements and continuously improving processes).
Use all the available tools to perform all the relevant service delivery.
Provide guidance and leadership in the use of the available tools to support the service delivery.
Configure, implement and maintain complex operating environments and hardware platforms.
Maintain and update operating system configurations according to standards.
Design, Implement and support networking, server & storage systems hardware and software.
Manage network, server & storage monitoring activities. Configure the monitoring system to contribute to performance & availability improvements.
Coordinate & implement the deployment of upgrades.
Requirements:
BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or Technical Communications.
10+ years of experience in IT roles.
5+ years experience in and oil and gas company.
5+ years of experience working in a global company.
2+ years of experience leading other professionals.
Facilitates key stakeholder to take a strategic approach in resolving business problems.
Proven ability to manage communication systems.
Proven understanding of Windows networks and complex server arrangements.
Proven track record of proactively driving improvements and seeking to create value for the organization.
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and manage risks and avoid surprises.
Relentless intention to keep customers informed and leaders included in decisions as appropriate.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage team projects.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the desire and ability to be an active team member.
Ability to priotize workload to maximize delivery of quality product in a timely manner.
Ability to be a “hands on” manager spending approximately. 50% of the time providing technical support to the organization.
Ability and willingness to work on-site and at off-site locations as necessary as well as off hours when needed. Ability and wiliness to work evening to participate in international conference calls on a routine basis
Cisco network certification (CCNP) is preferred
