Our Brookshire, TX client is in need of a Full time, long term contract Sales & Use Tax Administrator.
Summary:
Processes sales and use tax information as reported in SAP and maintains records related to state sales & use tax for all of company. Prepares and processes for payment monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual state sales tax returns for 45 states. The position will work 30+ hours per week.
Essential Functions:
Compile state sales & use tax information by state, from SAP downloaded reports into Excel spreadsheets.
Prepare monthly and quarterly state sales & use tax returns and file with corresponding state agencies for 45 states in the US, either electronically or via paper processing. Set up additional states to file electronically where possible.
Maintain and file all customer records, sales tax reports and documents including resale certificates
Create ship-to account numbers in SAP when requested, to ensure correct tax jurisdiction code is applied
Support cash and accounts payable clerks when necessary
Secondary Responsibilities:
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent work experience
Seven years of experience filing multi-state sales & use tax reports
SAP experience is essential for this role
