Our Houston, TX client, located in the Galleria area, is in need of an Sales Assistant on a contract to hire basis.
Job Responsibilities:
Order Entry and follow up
Issue releases based on material ready for shipment
Complete information in releases table
Manage open releases and follow up with customer for pickup
Invoicing
Paper Transfers
Credit Memo
Customer Communication
Phone calls to customers to follow up on quotes from Sales Manager
Email and phone calls to customers for inventory availability
Email or mail documents such as MTR’s for incoming material
Run Reports
Bi-weekly order status report for open sales orders
Weekly order status report for future production
Weekly status report on all open releases
Software Recommendations:
MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Lotus, Peachtree, Internet use
Experience:
1-3 years of sales administration experience required. Ability to use telephone and personal computer on a daily basis. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and work well under deadlines. Must have a significant attention to detail. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills. Oilfield industry experience a plus with familiarity of OCTG and Line Pipe tubular goods. Very fast paced and demanding position. Reports directly to Inside Sales Manager.
