We are seeking an intrinsically motivated individual to join our Technology Services team as a Senior Systems Engineer. You will support our enterprise server, storage, and application infrastructure. The environment includes Cisco UCS servers, Microsoft operating systems, SolarWinds Orion Monitoring, Active Directory, and NetApp Storage.  We expect you to have strong technical knowledge in multiple areas which will include a combination of the following: windows server administration, scripting and automation, server virtualization, enterprise monitoring systems, AD group policy and enterprise storage solutions.

Job Duties:
Fanatically championing the proactive monitoring and performance of enterprise systems.
Automating repetitive administrative tasks.
Providing Level 3 administration and support for end-user and server environments.
Conducting research, making recommendations on computing infrastructure products and services.
Implementing, managing, monitoring, and maintaining operating systems, hardware, application services, and server-based applications according to documented practices.
Developing, documenting, and maintaining policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
Mentoring and/or providing guidance to junior members of the team.
Participating in night-time/weekend on-call rotation and as needed (24×7) during business emergencies.

Requirements:
4 years of accredited college work, preferably with a focus on Information Services, Computer Science, and/or Information Technology. Degree may be waived with significant related and demonstrable work experiences.
Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating mastery of core technologies including Active Directory, Windows, Group Policy, VMware, NetApp SAN, Cisco UCS.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with two or more of our key technologies. 5 years of progressive responsibility for systems administration and engineering.
Ability to automate & script repetitive tasks (Ideally PowerShell)
Mastery of monitoring and automation technologies, such as SolarWinds Orion, Tidal, etc.
Certifications with current updates desired: ITIL, MCSE, CCA or CCAA, CISSP
Strong customer service orientation.
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills presented in user-friendly language.
Must be able to articulate views and opinions to build consensus within a common framework of efficiency and standards.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Data Center Technician – Carrollton TX

Responsibilities:
We are looking for technology individuals who have experience as a Physical Layer Tech and/ or seeking  a ground floor break into the IT field. Great for recent graduates and recent entries into the IT work force. Although the position will focus on the logistics of delivering high volume IT gear into a massive data center it is a perfect start into the eventual career of a systems engineer or similar role. Your duties will be as follows:
Experience with putting together POD’s, racks, servers, and working on data center raised floors.
Receive in all IT inventory, bar-code scan, and document on an Excel spreadsheet.
Search for and provide inventory based on requests from systems installers and engineers.
Take inventory directly onto the data center floor / remove inventory from the data center floor.
Provide physical security by manning the inventory cage and / or raised floor area and preventing un-authorized access.
Maintaining inventory information in Excel and providing daily reports of current inventory status.
Other miscellaneous logistics duties as they come up.
Besides being technically savey with experience with servers/ server rooms, You must be ready for physical warehouse labor including some lifting of inventory. You must be dynamic, motivated, and a self-starter. You must have reliable transportation. You must be proficient in English. You must be familiar with Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.  You must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check, no exceptions on this point. You need to be able to get up to speed quickly and keep up in a fast paced environment.

The Sr. Systems Administrator is accountable for researching, designing, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining all Windows and/or non-Windows Servers (hardware and software) to insure optimal operation and availability of servers and installed applications.  Handles assignments of a complex nature with limited direction/guidance and will train and mentor other Systems Administrators.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs in the role of the Senior Systems Administrator; managing projects and work, balance work schedules, and representing the group in meetings (intra- and inter-department.)
Take direction from and assist Team Lead with developing strategies and tactics, architect and recommend solutions, and maintaining a world class environment.
Measures optimal performance of all Windows and non-Windows Servers by proactively conducting ongoing performance monitoring and by tuning/adjusting as necessary
Provides effective Level 2 & 3 Help Desk support (24X7) and analyzes problems for root cause and implement resolutions that improve overall quality, redundancy, and provide continuous improvement
Insure server security by recommending, reviewing and implementing approved server policies within the systems
Enhance functionality of systems by developing and modifying scripts or other vehicles to automate system processes
Develops and makes recommendations regarding hardware upgrades and new software releases (a result of research, analyzing, reviewing and evaluating current and future requirements)
Creates optimal server infrastructure in support of new applications by researching and recommending hardware/software technologies in support of application requirements
Develop and maintain all relevant documentation
Provide support to application developers/programmers by providing technical knowledge and guidance
Insure optimal server set-up by conducting effective new hardware installations, hardware replacements/upgrades and by performing operating system configurations as needed
Complete assignments or tasks based on the priority and urgency of the assignment or task
Develop and deliver cross-training to selected I.S. Associates
Assist in developing the skills of the Systems Administrator I and II by providing guidance and direction
Maintain contemporary knowledge of industry trends, concepts, and techniques
Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery processes
Comply with all company and IS Department Policies and Procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field -or- 4+ years relevant experience in lieu of Degree is a plus
8 or more years Relevant Experience
Experience as a Windows/NT Administrator
Experience developing and maintaining scripts

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
Very good knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the Server community
Very good knowledge of Windows/NT Administration
Good knowledge of Windows Server virtualization, Citrix, and antivirus products
Good knowledge of Sockets, Ethernet, Web Hosting, and Windows Networking
Good ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences (verbally and written)
Strong ability to solve problems
Good ability to work in team environment
Possesses good interpersonal skills
Possess strong customer service skills
Very good ability to work on multiple assignments and effectively manage own time and priorities
Ability to work weekends and after business hours

Possesses good to strong leadership skills

BI / Qlikview Developer – Fort Worth Texas

Our Fort Worth Area, TX client is seeking someone to develop Qlikview dashboards as well as administer the Qlikview server on a long term contract basis.  In this role, this person should have a strong SQL and database knowledge to help develop strong data models within Qlikview.  In addition, they will need to assist other team members on Qlikview best practices for each of their dashboards.  This person will work with other teams throughout the company to find out their data requirements and set up a data model to assist them in dashboard development.    This person will need to set up daily/weekly automation of data feeds and ensure that the process runs smoothly.  Finally, they will need to be able to set up report distribution through the Qlikview server and/or SharePoint.

Responsibilities:
Working with business and technology representatives to understand and prioritize user requirements and translate them into BI applications and helping develop end-user business-oriented metadata definitions.
Govern the overall look and data quality of all new dashboards making sure all best practices are adhere to during development.
Responsible for demonstrating software to internal users.

Education:
B.S. degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 8 years related experience. Advanced computer software skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate or less experienced team members; proven leadership ability.

‘Must have’ skills:
Good experience with Qlikview, including development and administration
Good knowledge of complex SQL with any major RDBMS.
Good experience with Qlikview, including development and administration
Experience with any other major BI Tool (Cognos, Business Objects)
Good experience with SharePoint 2007 and/or 2010 (to especially include lists, measures/KPI modules, and workflows.)
Good problem solving skills, logical process thinking and end-to-end system concepts.

‘Nice to have’ skills:
Use of data profiling methods to analyze data sources.
Good theoretical and practical knowledge of data warehousing.
Implementation of reporting/analytic applications in a complex data warehouse structure.

The Technical Product Manager will be a member of the development team for a Supply Chain Application module suite. Supply Chain Application modules are built on a proprietary Platform, a SDK for building enterprise business applications. The Supply Chain modules include components at various layers, including server-side, integration, supply chain planning engines, user-interface and design-time studio tools.  This individual will be responsible for leading module development, delivery of module releases and working directly with customers for project implementation.

Education:

SQL Developer – Dallas Texas

Our Dallas, TX based client is seeking a SQL Developer.

Primary daily responsibilities include performing all aspects of database administration: hardware/software evaluations, database installation, logical and physical database design and implementation, structured testing of database designs, applications, and technology platforms, security administration, backup and recovery, capacity planning, performance tuning and SQL optimization.
This individual will also be expected to utilize SQL or fourth generation languages to perform basic to advanced DBA functions, review database design and integrity controls, and monitor transaction activity, system utilization or load levels.

Manage and maintain all aspects of SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 database servers.
Design, install, configure, and monitor SQL databases.
Write basic to advanced stored procedures.
Knowledge of DTS and SSIS to prepare data for electronic transmission.
Collaborate with .Net development team.

Required Experience:
5 years experience managing Microsoft SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 database servers.
Solid understanding of Microsoft’s best practices for SQL Server, the SQL Server Storage Engine and RDBMS.
Knowledge related to computer hardware (servers, networks, SAN, RAID devices, I/O subsystems).
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
Comprehensive knowledge of performance tuning, backup and recovery options, database mirroring, replication and transaction log shipping.
Experience in supporting web based applications and information systems.
Effective communication skills with all levels of management, both internal and external, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
Experience working within a VMWare environment
Travel Industry Experience not required but a big plus.

Our client located in Northwest Houston, TX is looking for a contract to possible hire Network Administrator .

Client has 2 Microsoft Active Directory Servers, wireless LAN’s and 100 PC’s. There is regular travel to Austin (approximately two day trip every 2 weeks) that is required.

Position Description:

  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the company LAN, including client/server support, OS, applications, and all peripherals.
  • Support and maintain network users, user environment, and security.

Required Experience:
